moDays Privacy Policy
moDays (“the app”) treats your personal information with care and provides this policy in accordance with applicable laws.
This policy is effective from September 2026.
The app handles the following information on your device. Everything is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud, and is never collected by or sent to an external server.
- Your entries — What you write and record (text, colors, sentences, names of places and people) is stored on your device and in iCloud.
- Photos — Only photos you allow and pick yourself are attached to entries. Attached photos are kept in the app’s storage and are never sent elsewhere.
- Recordings — The microphone is used only when you attach a recording to an entry. Audio files are stored only on your device and in iCloud.
- Location — Used only to fetch the weather of the moment. Coordinates are never stored. Weather is provided through Apple’s WeatherKit service.
- Weather — The weather and temperature at the time of an entry are saved with that entry.
- Calendar — With your permission, iOS calendar events are read only to show that day’s schedule while you wrap up your day. They are never sent elsewhere.
- Notifications — The iOS notification permission is used to deliver notifications; no additional data is collected.
- Face ID — Unlock authentication is performed by iOS on the device. The app cannot access your biometric data.
- mo.Today data — If you also use mo.Today, the app reads your tasks and routines from your own iCloud only to show them in your daily record. They are never sent elsewhere.
Information handled by the app is used only to provide the app’s features.
- Photos, recordings, and entries are used for you to record and revisit your days.
- Location and calendar information is used for display only.
- Weather is saved with entries as accompanying metadata.
3. Storage
All data lives in two places:
- Your iOS device (local storage)
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit container
iCloud.moPlanet.moDays), governed by Apple’s security policies. mo.Today data is read-only, from mo.Today’s container (iCloud.moPlanet.shared).
The app operates no external server of its own and never transmits your data to one.
4. Third-party sharing
The app does not share or sell your data to third parties, and does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA).
5. Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child under 13 uses the app, we recommend doing so with a guardian’s consent and supervision.
6. Your rights
You can:
- View, edit, and delete your data within the app
- Turn off iCloud sync at iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud
- Delete local data by deleting the app (iCloud data is deleted separately in iCloud settings)
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as laws or the app’s features change. Updates are announced on this page.
